This object is from my photo dot object series. It documents a fleeting moment that I perceived in my life and documented it with a photo camera. For me, photos are a documentation of the, which were made in the past and will only be realized in the future. Due to the multi-layer point technique I developed, my objects can only be recognized by the viewer from a certain point of view. If the viewer changes his perspective, the previously recognized subject dissolves into an abstract, chaotic tangle of dots, and the viewer is now confronted with himself and his interpretation of what he has perceived. I would like to question everything we think we know, and think we can do. We believe in a truth that was educated and illustrated in school and thus trust our knowledge. But I believe that there are as many different truths as there are people on earth. Each of us has a different point of view and depends on who we were raised and educated by. Who our parents were and what cultural, religious, social etc. background we have. But at the end of the day all that counts is how we individually perceive and interpret our reality around us. Our thoughts and actions result from this.
